Well what can I say about that morning, it was just the same as the day before. That morning we went to York Castle Museum. I visited the museum with my mum and my big sister Charlotte back in August 2015 months before the River Ouse flooded York, I remember it so well because we went to a nice cafe called Dyles, they do a really nice toast there. The cafe has a really nice outdoor eating and drinking area because it's by the River Ouse and back then we sat outside, having our teas, coca-cola, treats and toast in the sunshine. Look at me babbling on about the past when I should be taking about my time at the museum this year.
This museum has a lot of different exhibitions, you can probably spend the entire day here at York Castle Museum and I should know because me, my mum and dad must have arrived sometime between 11am & 11:30am and we didn't leave till 14:45pm.
The exhibition were running at the museum at the time:
Limited Time Exhibitions:
1. Museum Of Broken Relationships: 22/03/19-22/03/20
Permanent Exhibitions:
1. Kirkgate, The Victorian Street (permanent exhibition)
2. Shaping The Body
3. 1914: When The World Changed Forever
4. The Sixties
5. Toy Stories
6. York Castle Prison
7. Raindale Mill
After we left the Castle Museum we went into the town center and visited St. Mary's Church for the Vincent Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience. As you can see this blog is getting a bit too long so I've decided that the Vincent Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience deserves it's own blog.
We did spend a lot of time in the town of York such as The Shambles and bought a few things like baked goods for example. I visted all three of the Harry Potter Shops:
1. The Shop That Must Not Be Named
2. World Of Wizardry
3. The Boy Wizard
I mainly bought Professor Horace Slughorn's wand because on the Wizarding World website I was sorted into Ravenclaw, my patronus charm is Nebelung Cat and the wand that chose me is a Cedar wood with a dragon heartstring core, 12 1/2 inches and reasonable supple flexibility which happens to be the wand that Professor Horace Slughorn owns. I also bought some Bertie Box Of Ever Flavoured Beans and I do mean every flavoured beans such as earwax, bogie or vomit flavors and 4 glass bottles of Butterscotch Cream Soda Beer (non-alcholic). The lady who helped and served me at The Shop That Must Not Be Named was very helpful as she helped me identify the wand that chose and who the wand also belonged to.
I also went into the Disney Store there and bought my friend Alissa Watkis a Anna & Elsa Frozen 2 mug for her birthday and my friend Alexandra Smart's daughter Holly a little pack of pens for her birthday too but I'll get her something else to go with it and her Christmas present as well.
