Castlevania Series 2 Ep.1-4

Episode 5 (s2 ep1):

The opening credits looked like they were drawings from a sketchbook. They looked like beautiful illustrations. The first scene was set in 1475, Wallachia, a typical flashback scene to round about when Dr. Lisa Tepes is now married to Dracula. But at least she kept Dracula as her husband as secret to her patients. At least her medicines are helpful by the sound of it. However things will be a turn for the worse for Lisa. I seriously think that people back then should have understood modern medical science like we do today. Thank god the COVID-19 vaccines are being tested and trialled.

Dracula still grieving over the loss of his wife. And a war council meeting has been called. What Dracula and his council are going to do? And why did Dracula choose two human men named Hector and Isaac to lead them into war? They seemed to understood what Dracula feels against humans completely.

The Speakers have decided to leave Wallachia but Sypha decided to stay behind. But at least Alucard still wants to defeat his father.

What does Victor want with dead people? Seems like he wants to raise the dead to possibly build an army. Doubt that end up well in the end.

But we’ll find out soon enough.

I think this episode is pretty good but a bit poor because of lack of a storyline for Trevor, Sypha and Alucard, as it seems that they’re preparing and waiting.

Episode 6 (s2 ep2) review

Well we’re back where we left Trevor, Sypha and Alucard. I know when people watch this episode and are asking, “Why is Alucard not burning to a crisp?” so I’m going to explain why: Lisa Tepes is human and Dracula is a vampire. And when a human and a vampire have a child together, the child is a hybrid. Meaning they posses DNA traits from both parents. Which is why Alucard isn’t bursting into flames. I should know that I’ve read encyclopaedia books on vampires. For example vampires can’t cross running water unless something can be provided such a boat or ship, they just can’t cross running water physically. Looks like Trevor might have been drinking but not much, but can’t read let alone understand magic. And it sounds like Trevor, Alucard and Sypha are not the Robin Hoods merry men type. Looks like Trevor and Alucard might not have a choice but to co-operate and get along with each other without killing one another.

Dracula’s council are all talk and no action. Great another vampire named Carmilla has joined the war council. Carmilla was one of the early works of vampire fiction before Bram Stoker’s Dracula during the Victorian era. Good question that Carmilla brought up was “Why was Lisa never turned?” Maybe because he couldn’t do it or Lisa chose not to become a vampire.

Finally Alucard explained why he didn’t burst into flames and about his father to Sypha and Trevor, just like I did. But I don’t think that using Lisa’s death as an excuse to destroy the world. Looks like Dracula’s minions found them. But Alucard has a few fighting tricks up he sleeves. One thing I can say about Alucard is that he’s one heck of a skilled fighter. Sypha’s one heck of a witch. And Trevor is not one just a skill fighter but a skilled fighter with a whip. But I think one of Dracula’s minions survived. But then died as soon as it reached Dracula’s castle.

There is one part when Isaac remembers his past when he was just a boy being beaten after being accused of stealing. By today’s standards black lives do matter as much as everyone’s own lives. Isaac should never of deserved to be treated like that.

What I like about this episode is that the fight scene with Alucard, Trevor and Sypha was done well with grace. I think it was the best fight scene I’ve seen so far.

Episode 7 (s2 ep3)

Nice start of the episode with a nice rural landscape. But by the looks of it, it could be Victor’s childhood. And as a young boy he did a bit of Frankenstein on his childhood pet dog. Now that sounds familiar to me as I’ve seen both of Tim Burton’s short film and feature length film Frankenweenie loads of time. I guess Victor has the ability to bring back the dead by using sorcery. At least I know that when something or someone is brought back from the dead they can be a bit disorientated at first. But however Dracula’s minions are loyal to both him and Hector by the sound of it.

I wonder why Trevor, Alucard and Sypha decided to visit Trevor Belmont’s home. Well not for a friendly visit and a chat. But they’re only at the Belmont home to find answers. Alucard was a bit of a show off with his superhuman strength when Trevor asked him to help him move some rocks. Vampires typically have the strength of ten men in them. Trevor’s family has got an impressive archive and library. I could spend all day in there. But they’re only down there to find something. Information perhaps. Or something useful like a weapon of sorts. Surprised to discover that Trevor’s family had hid the morning star whip.

One of the members of Dracula’s war council Godbrand is kinda annoyed of how will they eat if Dracula keeps moving and killing humans. But he kept explaining that he’s stocked up on blood. Some men like him do get easily annoyed of waiting; I should know that because my dad doesn’t like queuing and he gets easily annoyed of that. But I do know some men who aren’t like my dad.

This episode did provide some explanation as why they ended in Dracula’s service. Hector was hired by Dracula because they both hate humans and Carmilla got sick and tired of being dictated by the vampire who turned her.

Episode 8 (s2 ep4)

Why can’t Godbrand just wait a little while longer for blood? But it turns out that it was all a dream.

A little info about Speakers is that they never live in a house; they travel from place to place. Carmilla sounds like she’s got a proposition for Hector when she gave him an explanation as to why Dracula didn’t protect his wife. Will Hector accept Carmilla’s proposition by abandoning Dracula? Or not? Sound like he’s going to accept. If I was Hector I would of thought things through.

Isaac has finally shown his loyalty to Dracula. When I make friends I always show loyalty to them. I would never betray them no matter what. I still remember the day I met my friend Becksy Preston. Almost two years ago next month when I went on that Bear Kitchen event with Luv2MeetU. If there are classes or courses on hoe to be patient I would drag Godbrand by the ears, or fangs since he’s a vampire to them and he would learn the value of patients because he has found a map that shows that there’s a village nearby.

Well I know what Godbrand would say “Let the bloodsucking begin!” As he and the other members of the war council drank the blood of humans let alone slaughter them. I can tell that there’s going to be “Will they? Won’t they?” “Won’t they? Will they?” with Trevor and Sypha. Isaac certainly gave Godbrand his comeuppance by stabbing him.

Well this episode had the blood guts and gore. Haven’t seen that much blood, guts and gore since episode 1. Nicely done though.
