Kuroko's Basketball S2 Ep.1 Review

New Series of Kuroko’s Basketball to watch and a lot has happened since 05/04/21. Watched Toradora, final series of Castlevania, been to Filey, seen the new Cruella movie and had my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. So let’s pick off from where we’ve left off.

The opening and closing credits were better than those in series 1. Space Jam worthy. Kaijo High is the strongest team in the winter cup. Lead by their team captain Kasamatsu Yukio, their ace Kise Ryota is their prodigal one. So by the looks of things he’s the one to watch out for. In the world at least. But Kaijo lost to another team the other day. Touou Academy was the team that beat them. They’re the fierce ones, especially their prodigy Aomine Daiki. Shutoku High’s prodigy is Midorima Shintaro is a shooter who everyone is terrified of. All from Teiko Middle School’s Generation of Miracles. Akita’s Yosen they have Murasakibara Atsushi and at Kyoto’s Rakuzan they have Akashi Seijuro. They’ll be the ones to look out for throughout this series. Kiyoshi Teppei, damaged his knees and couldn’t participate in the Inter-High, but he’s strong centre. The captain Hyuga Junpei is one clutch shooter. Their point guard Izuki Shun has an eagle eye, which is good trait of his. Kagami Taiga can pull a grand slam like no other basketball player. Kagami should eat his greens especially broccoli. As Thumper from Bambi always says “Eating greens is a special treat. It makes long ears and big feet.” Most of the team plan on getting some sleep as they have a day off. But one of them wants to play street basketball con. And the first years really want to go for it. so they better do their best. And Seirin and Seiho are both at the convention and they’re surprise to see each other. Ain’t that a coincident. Seiho played a game and lost. But for Kagami was unexpectedly surprised to see his friend: Himuro Tatsuya. When Kagami was a child he tried to make friends. But when Himuro came into the picture he taught him basketball as much as he knows. Since then Kagami got stronger and stronger, but Himuro got weaker. And things got rough between them. Such a sad back story. “No one wants their opponent to go easy on them in the game they love. Besides, even if you’re not brothers, it’s not as though you would change who you are.” Kuroko’s right about that. Kagami must go head-to-head with Himuro. All they got to do is give all they got. Even Kuroko is surprised to see Murasakibara Atsushi.
