Ep. 1, S1: Night Of Vampires
Well I’m back from my holiday and that means a new anime to review. I wonder what Vampire Knights have in store for me.
It’s starts on a cold and snowy night. And a little girl named Yuki Cross seemed to be lost. But a disgraceful vampire tries to take her as his victim. That is until another vampire named Kaname saved her. The opening credits to the series 1 of 2 had art and dark. But it was beautiful. Cross Academy is a private school for both human students and vampire students. I wonder how they run the school. The school uniforms are very stylish than the usual Japanese uniforms that we all know. It seems that ever since Yuki was saved by Kaname she might of developed a crush on Kaname. My, my, the disciplinary committee are a bit harsh. But the human students must be kept safe. Even Kiryu seemed to be strictest one. The scene for when the vampires are at school and roaming the night is very gothic. Man keeping the vampires identity a secret away from the day humans must be hard work. Even for Yuki and Kiryu because they have to be on patrol everyday/night. Yuki has been sent to detention more times than every student because she has to be on patrol. No wonder why Kiryu wanted more on the committee to do the patrol. Kiryu thinks Yuki is complicated. I can understand why they should be more people in the discipline committee doing patrols, they could take shifts. Yuki and pretty much every book, film, TV or any other medias think that vampires and humans should get along. But Kiryu has ever reason to hate the vampires. Aido is a charming vampire. But being charming can be deceiving. Kaname is charming but very different to the other vampire students. I wonder throughout this series I may learn more about these vampires. At least Aido and Akatsuki got their comeuppance by being suspended for ten whole days. Yuki better be careful the next time she’s patrolling. The closing credits is like the opening credits: art and dark.
Ep. 2, S1: Memories Of Blood:
What is St. Xocolatl’s Day? All of the girls go around giving chocolates to the boys they have a crush on, and declare their love. Well we got a holiday like that called Valentine’s Day. And every girl has forgotten that the school they’re attending is of higher learning. All of the day student boys think that all the chocolates that they hope to receive are going to the night students. If the head banned it would cause a riot. Plus it gives a chance to let the students let off steam. Well now I know why Kiryu despises vampires. Because his parents were killed by a bad vampire. Those day student girls should get a hold of themselves and not lose their heads when the night students come out. The night students better accept the chocolates instead of knowing the day students blood types. Kaname gave away some of his chocolates to another student except one that was given to him Yuki. I guess he sort of likes her. I wonder why Kiryu had to take a blood tablet. Could he be a vampire?
Ep. 3, S1: The Fang Of Repentance:
What is tuna Carpaccio garnished with marinated tomatoes and parsley? I hope it’s not something that someone cooked out of Soma Yukihira’s cookbook. But somehow it did look delicious. Yuki has got loads of questions to ask Kiryu about those blood tablets he’s been taking and why. The night class students have just been informed about a surprise dorm inspection. Someone needs to tidy his or her dorm room. Everything is getting confiscated. They might need to make room for all of the stuff Yuki and all of the disciplinary committee collected. Kiryu is acting very strange towards Yuki as her curiosity sparks. I wonder what that little boy (who had purposely let go of his red balloon) has taken Yuki to, probably danger. Which is what exactly happened. But this little vampire boy looked scary to Yuki when it changed from an innocent looking face to a vampiric face that has caused then to loose its’ humanity and go mad as hatter. Kaname has finally come to save Yuki. But I don’t think Kiryu won’t be too pleased about that. Kiryu hiding his vampire identity isn’t going to be as easy as it looks. Yuki’s curiosity confirmed to her that Kiryu is a vampire.
Ep. 4, S1: Trigger of Condemnation:
Why didn’t Yuki realise that Kiryu is a vampire in the first place? She’ll be having loads of questions to ask why, how and when. Kaname has deemed Kiryu a disgrace. Yuki’s bleeding has stopped but the wound is deep. Finding out that Kiryu is actually a vampire must have been quite a shock. Purebloods can only turn someone into a vampire. Thankfully Kiryu isn’t a pureblood, which means Yuki will remain human. What are they going to do with Kiryu? Keep him in day class? Or transfer him to night class. Transfer makes perfect sense. But they have to do what’s best for Kiryu. I should know that, as the head of support department both in primary school and high school have to think what’s best for me. Aido is wondering what is Yuki is to Kaname as he’s suspecting something about her. Yuki only came to see Kaname to beg him not to let Kiryu transfer to night class. And by the looks of it Kaname has no choice because Kiryu may become a level E vampire. But he truly cares about Yuki. Guess he’s just trying to keep her safe. But Yuki wants to remain by Kiryu’s side. Looks like the vampire hunter society is on to the headmaster by sending someone for a report. We’ll find that out soon.
Ep. 5, S1: Moonlight Festivities:
There is a way that Yuki will protect and be Kiryu’s ally by wearing a bracelet that works in conjunction with Kiryu’s tattoo on his neck. With the first try with the bracelet Yuki just simply immobilized Kiryu for a bit in order to keep him tamed if he ever tries to harm someone. Don’t worry he’ll be back on his feet. Kaname agreed to let Kiryu stay in the day class as long as long as Yuki uses her bracelet to keep Kiryu under control. How will Kiryu ever cope with that? Sounds like the school has got a surprise visit from the vampire hunter society and he looks like he means business. I wonder how does Yuki manage to stay awake during day class after her disciplinary/guardian duties. Turns out that the vampire hunter society has sent a hunter called Toga Yagari as a new teacher. And pretty much like in the Indiana Jones franchise every girls in day class seemed to have developed a crush on the new teacher very quickly. For me it’s warm up to the new teacher or nothing. Just to see if I like the new teacher or not. Another level E vampire tried to attack Yuki but just in the knick of time Kiryu saves her. But Takuma and Senri decided to join the party and destroyed the Level E vampire. They said they’ll explain everything if they go to the moon dorm later that night. Yuki believes that the day when Kiryu becomes a Level E vampire will never come. But Kiryu made Yuki to promise him that if that day does come, she will kill him. Something must be happening because everyone is dressed up. Looks like it’s some vampire’s birthday. Looks very elegant. Looks like it’s the pureblood vampires to oversee the Level E vampires by Kaname’s order. I do hope Yuki and Kiryu are enjoying themselves. How many times must Kiryu take a bite out of Yuki? Not only Yuki stopped Kiryu by jumping into some water feature, dragging Kiryu along with her, Toga Yagari shows up and shot Kiryu. Didn’t see that one coming.
