I gotta say Deet came up with the best idea on rescuing Hup, she really scared the those guards to death with monster disguise. Snaps for her, girl. Brea discovered a hidden chamber hidden under her mother's throne room and ventured into the chamber not knowing what danger could be lurking down there. But down in the chamber Brea learned that Gelfling clan hierarchy is false, Vapra was surprisingly not the highest clan, didn't see that coming. And what was the reason why the Gelfling clan hierarchy is false? It's because he puzzle was designed to work only if one acted as if all clans were actually equal.
Those Skeksis should have patience on waiting to rejuvenate themselves with essence especially the emperor, skekSo, who doesn't have an ounce of patience that he dismissed skekSil and made skekVar as his new counselor.
I do wish that urVa wouldn't have to make Aughra follow his arrows whilst skekTek managed to successfully repair his machine. When skekSo asked how many Gelflings it would take in order for the Skeksis to become immortal and skekTek guess 50 Gelflings which way too much. They should of quit while they're ahead. I don't think it was a smart idea that skekSil called for skekMal, the Hunter and send him to capture Rian.
When Aughra got tired of following urVa's arrows she was ready to give up, but urVa was like "Oh yeah? I'll shoot more arrows then" and she continued on her journey which lead her to the Sanctuary Tree. urVa reassured Aughra that Thra still sings but no one can hear it. With the help of urVa, Aughra figured that Thra will teach her the song that she cannot her.
skekVar must always wake up on the wrong side of the bed everyday because he's always torturing Gurjin for answers on the whereabouts of Rian. That is until skekSo sent skekVar to go to Ha'rar for volunteers.
After discovering that the puzzle is a "lie" Brea left the activator on the rocks in the center of the room making the puzzle successfully and completely activated causing the sound to increase in volume pitch and the rocks in the center of the room to rise to form a being that moves on it's own accord. The being has a rotating arm which allows it to play a recorded voice right in front of Brea's eyes, identifying it as "Lore" and that it shall show her how to free Gelfling from the Skeksis if she travels to the Circle of the Suns. Lore having imprinted upon her and being assigned to protect and guide her on her journey there, but they were interrupted by Brea's older sister Seladon and the guards. What's with all the butting in business in that scene?
Just like in the 1982 movie Rian sought shelter in a Podling village, it'll be another thousand years before Jen arrives at the same village with Kira. But he was quickly followed by Kylan and Naia (Gurjin's twin sister) with the intention of capturing him. Tavra also arrived at the village with the same intention. Rian showed Tavra the bottle containing Mira's essence and dreamfasted with Tavra, Kylan and Naia and during their dreamfasting Rian's father Ordon showed and joined them in their dreamfasting. Now he finally sees sense in what his son was trying to tell him and was sorry that he didn't believe him thus they created a dream etching on the table they were sitting at.
As soon as Rian and Ordon left the Hunter caught up with them but Ordon risked his life to save his only son resulting in not only Rian loosing his girlfriend but loosing his father in a short space of time. But eventually Rian was captured by the Hunter. Now Deet must try and find a way to rescue Rian.
This episode had an exciting climatic battle, an exciting but brilliant opening as well as the cliffhanger at the end of the episode.
